Growing businesses reach a point where bookkeeping and tax returns aren't enough. You need someone who can read the numbers, plan the next 12 months and sit across from your banker or investor. Doug has done that as CFO of four companies. As your fractional CFO, he brings the same rigor on a schedule and budget that fit your business.

Is this you?

  • Revenue is growing but cash always feels tight.
  • A bank, investor or buyer is asking for numbers you can't produce quickly.
  • You're thinking about acquiring a company, selling yours or taking on debt.
  • Your bookkeeper is accurate but nobody tells you what the numbers mean.
  • You can't justify a full-time CFO yet.

Fractional CFO questions

What is a fractional CFO?

A senior finance leader who works with your business part-time, on a set schedule. You get the planning, reporting and lender-facing work a CFO does, without the cost of a full-time hire.

How is this different from my bookkeeper or accountant?

Your bookkeeper records what happened and your accountant files the returns. A fractional CFO reads those numbers with you, plans the next 12 months and helps you act on them, including with your banker, investors or a buyer.

How many hours per month do most clients need?

It depends on your size and what is going on in the business. Typical range: [Doug to set]. We recommend a schedule after the financial health review.

Can you help us raise money or buy a company?

Yes. Banking and financing support and acquisition and exit support are part of the service. As a CFO, Doug negotiated bank refinancings and led diligence on acquisitions. For a larger deal, see M&A and due diligence support.

How quickly can we start?

It starts with a free discovery call. Typical time from first call to first meeting: [Doug to set].

Do you work with businesses outside St. Petersburg?

Our office is in downtown St. Petersburg and we work with businesses across Tampa Bay and Pinellas County. Clients further afield: [Doug confirms].
