Business tax planning and preparation in St. Petersburg

Plan all year so April is a non-event.

Once a year is too late.

Most owners meet their accountant once a year, after the best tax decisions are already behind them. We work with you through the year: estimating, planning purchases and compensation, and filing with confidence.

Your own return is covered too: see individual tax preparation. Or book a free consultation to talk it through.

Business tax questions

What documents do I need?

Last year's return, your year-end books or financial statements, payroll reports, 1099s and any IRS or state notices. Full checklist: [Doug confirms].

When should I switch from sole proprietor to S-corp?

It usually comes down to your profit and what you pay yourself. We run the numbers with you in an entity and compensation review before you decide.

Do you file extensions?

Yes. An extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay, so we estimate what is due and help you pay on time.

What if I'm behind on filings?

We can help you catch up. If the IRS has already written to you, see IRS tax problems.

What does it cost?

[Doug to set]. You'll get a clear scope and a clear fee before we start. See pricing.
